Corn Chat in Bread Cups

Hi
Day 6 of BM#5 by Srivalli and i was wondering what i would cook. I was sort of blank, then when i looked up the freezer, saw a packet of sweet corn. Well now i knew that corn chat would suit the theme.:-)These bread cups are very easy to make and with less or no effort at all. You could make these bread cases in advance and store them in air tight containers.

Fresh Bread 12 slices

Sweet corn 1 cup

Onion 1

Cheery tomatoes few

Salt to taste

Oil 2 tsp

Chaat masala 1 tsp

Butter 2tbsp

PREPARATION

Cook the corn (either in microwave or cooker0

Cut the onions finely

Chop the cherry tomatoes into two each

In a pan, heat the oil and saute the onions till they turn transparent. Now add the cooked corn and mix well.Add the salt and chat masala and stir for 1 minute. Now dunk in the tomatoes and mix well. Switch off the heat and keep aside.

Preheat the oven to 250C

take the bread slices and cut a round from each. I used a cup to cut. you can use a biscuit cutter or simply use the kitchen scissors.

Flatten each bread round a little

Grease a muffin tray with butter.

Apply little butter on each round and press each round into a muffin cavity

Bake for 5-10 minutes to get a crispy round bread cup.

Cool and fill each cup with the corn chat
