Eggless Pineapple Upside Down Cake



Hi

For the 4th day of BM#5 by Srivalli I chose to bake this eggless cake which happens to be my kid's favorite too.The occasion.....yes, u guessed it right:-) It is KP's birthday.He is a wonderful blogger and great friend and above all a father figure to me. INGREDIENTS

Butter 1/2 cup

Condensed milk 1/2 tin(i used amul brand)

All purpose flour 1 1/4 cup

Aerated water(soda) 1/2 cup

Baking powder 3/4 tsp

Baking soda 3/4 tsp

Pineapple essence 1 1/2 tsp

Golden syrup 2 tbsp

Pineapple slices 3- 4(tinned)

Cherries few

PREPARATION

Preheat the oven to 150C

Grease a 7" round cake tin. Arrange pineapple and cherries in a decorative manner.

Drizzle the golden syrup on it. Keep it aside

Melt butter in a pan and let it cool.

Mix condensed milk to the melted butter and better well. Add essence and beat again.

Sift the flour, baking powder and baking soda together.

Add half of the flour and half the soda to the milk maid mixture. Beat well.

Now add the remaining flour and soda and beat again.

Pour this into the prepared cake tin and bake it for 30-35minutes

Loosen the sides and turn it on the plate

cool and serve

This cake is really very spongy though it is eggless.!!!
