Vegetables Stuffed Chapathi

Day 2 of BM#5 and i am thinking of all those recipes which my daughter loves to eat. One such is the stuffed chapathi. Easy to cook, stuffed with all the veggies that your kids likes and dislikes , all disguised into a stuffing and suits perfectly for the lunch box as u do not have to prepare a sidedish for the chapathi....less hassle for cooking as well as packing:-)

INGREDIENTS

For the chapathi

Whole wheat flour 1 cup

Salt a pinch

Oil 2 tsp

water as necessary

For the filling

Onion 1

tomato 1

Bell peppers(green, red, yellow) 1/2 each

Paneer 1/2 cup

Cheese(grated) 3 tbsp

Carrot 1

Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp

Garam masala 1/2 tsp

Tomato sauce 1/4 cup

salt to taste

PREPARATION

In a bowl mix the flour and salt evenly. Add enough water to make a pliable chapathi dough. Let it rest for 1/2 hour.

Cut all the vegetables finely.

In another bowl mix all the ingredients for filling like this

Assembly

Make small balls from dough. roll it into thin chapathis and keep it aside

Take one rolled chapathi,Spread tomato sauce on it.

Now keep 2 tbsp of filling into it. Spread evenly.

Now place one more chapthi on this and roll the edges together.

cut evenly all around

Heat a tava on slow fire

Place this stuffed chapathi on it. cook till small bubbles appears on it.

Turn a and cook on the other side too. Drizzle little oil and cook on both sides till they puff up
