Chatpata Aloo Paneer Fingers
Necessity is the mother of invention..........So very TruE.......!!!
That is how i created this finger food.:-) I needed some potatoes and my husband bought these baby potatoes:-(.....I just coulldn’t use those for the dish I intended to cook...anyway had to cook something in a jiffy as i had to go out too.....Quikly searched my fridge, found some paneer and YES....CREATED THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am so glad that he chose these potatoes, else i would have never created this:-)THANK YOU KK
Baby potatoes 3
Corn flour 1 tbsp
All purpose flour 1 tbsp
Sesame seeds 1 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tsp+1/2 tsp
Chilli powder 1/2 tsp
Oil 1 tbsp
Chat masala 1 tsp+1tsp for topping
Tomato sauce 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Corainder leaves few for decoration
Cut the paneer into thick fingers
Pressure cook the potatoes upto 2 whistles. (It has to cook well). Cool it. Then remove the skin, cut into 2 and keep it aside
Make a paste of corn flour, all purpose flour,1/2 tsp of ginger garlic and salt. Mix Well
Heat a Tawa or pan .Smear some oil and let it heat. Now dip the paneer finger in this and coat it on all the sides. Now sprinkle some sesame seeds only on one side
Shallow fry this till it browns on one side and flip it so that you cook on the other side too. Let it brown on both sides.(Be careful not to burn the paneer). Shallow fry all the paneer fingers in the same way.
Now in the same pan add 2 tsp of oil. When it heats up add the other ½ tsp of ginger garlic paste and chilli powder. Saute it for 1 minute. Now add the cut potato pieces and mix well. Sprinkle salt , mix and continue to cook till the masala coats uniformly on all sides. Transfer it to a plate and keep aside.
