cheese buns on her blog, I had bookmarked them.I like all her bakes and this was savoury too,,,,My daughter loves savoury. Luckily i did get Cream cheese in chennai too!!!So nothing could stop me from baking these.
All purpose flour 3 cups
Warm water1/2 cup
Active dry yeast 2 1/4tsp
Cream cheese 8oz
Salt 1 1/2 tsp
coriander 1/2 cup
green chillies 4-5 chopped
Mix the warm water, suagr and yeast and set it aside to froth up approximately 5-10 minutes.
Mix the flour, creamcheese and salt and then add the yeast mixture to this and knead for 10 minutes.
Now add the finely cut coriander and chillies to this dough and knead again.
Coat with oil and transfer this to a well oiled bowl. Keep this in a warm place for 1 hour, covered loosely to become double in volume
Take it out, punch down a little, shape into buns and arrange them well apart on a greased baking tray.Cover it lossely and let it rise again for another 45 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 190C
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or till it starts to brown.
Take it out and brush with butter.
Spicy Cream cheese buns are ready with a cuppa!!!
